SSD/HDD not Detected During Windows 10/11 installation

The installation of Windows 10 or Windows 11 encounters a problem where the SSD or HDD is not detected during the installation process.

During the installation process of Windows 10 and Windows 11, a problem arises where no drives are detected, specifically when using Intel’s 11th, 12th, and 13th Generation Processors.

Intel’s 11th, 12th, and 13th Generation processors incorporate the innovative Intel Volume Management Device technology, which enhances the efficiency and power usage of storage devices.

When performing a retail installation of Windows 10 or Windows 11, it is necessary to load the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) driver to facilitate the installation process. This is a standard procedure and does not indicate any hardware malfunction.

If you are using a computer with an 11th Generation Intel processor and encounter the issue of Windows being unable to detect any drives during the Windows 10 installation, please refer to the troubleshooting steps provided below.
